Health Guarantee and Terms of Sale
All buyers are given a health guarantee with their new puppy. Our guarantee is better than any other you will find. This is an important thing to consider when purchasing a puppy. We believe our guarantee is yet another thing that sets us apart from other breeders. Here are the highlights and conditions of our guarantee:
* Buyer has the option to take the puppy to a vet within 5 days of purchase to have it checked. If the puppy is found not to be in good health the puppy can be replaced with another.
* Puppy is guaranteed from inheritable genetic disorders (defined below) for three years. We know our dogs and their ancestors. Health is a top concern for us. Since most life threatening diseases appear before the third birthday (according to most veterinarians) we feel three years is adequate protection for our puppy buyers.
* Inheritable genetic disorders include Hip Dysplasia, Legg-Calve Perthes, Sub Luxating Patella, Primary Lens Luxation, Hereditary Cataract, Ataxia, Von Willebrands, Epilepsy, Aortic Stenosis, and Myasthenia Gravis. This covers the biggest concerns in this breed plus other major disorders.
* Bear Creek welcomes our puppies home at any age if the owners find themselves suddenly unable to care for their pet. This gives you piece of mind in the event of unexpected circumstances.
Here are your responsibilities...
* It is the buyer's responsibility to obtain any additional preventative care (booster shots, rabies, heart worm, flea treatments etc.) and Bear Creek Russells will not be held responsible for the owner's neglect.
* The buyer also declares that he/she is not affiliated with a pet store, puppy mill, or brokerage.
* Puppies sold as pets are done so with a spay/neuter agreement on or before the puppy turns 6 months old. Failure to comply with this stipulation renders all guarantees null and void.
* If you can not care for your puppy and do not have a trusted friend or family member to step in for you then you must return the puppy to Bear Creek. Under no circumstances will this puppy be placed in a pound, shelter, or rescue.
