Shipping as Priority Airline Cargo
Shipping is available via American's Priority Pet service, Delta's Pet First
service or Continental Pet Safe service. Puppies are shipped to the airport
closest to you and you can pick them up in the designated cargo area.
Shipping charges cover the airline costs, the shipping crate, bedding, food, a
full vet exam, vet heath certificate, and transport to DFW International
Airport. I have never had any problems using Delta, American or Continental
and have found they are very concerned with the animal's safety. If you
choose this option, we will take care of all the details for you. Airline shipping
adds $300 to the purchase price of your puppy.
Shipping as Airline Carry On Baggage
It is also possible to buy an round trip airline ticket for yourself and transport
your puppy home as a carry on bag. During extreme weather this may be
the only option available. Most airlines require advance notice that you will
be carrying on a puppy and could charge a fee. Carry on bags must fit
beneath the seat in front of you but still be large enough for the puppy to
stand and turn around. I have found several soft sided carriers that are
great for this purpose. I can meet you at Dallas Fort Worth International
Airport (DFW) if you choose this option. A mileage fee of $50 will apply.
Shipping by Private Jet
Several families have come to pick up their puppies in person via private jet.
We recommend you fly into Meacham Airport and use Texas Jet. They
provide excellent service and have a very nice facility. We can meet you
there with your puppy for a fee of $30 or you can take one of Texas Jet's
rental cars to come visit our home.
Shipping by Private Courier
A final alternative is to have your puppy delivered to you by private courier.
One of our agents will hand deliver your puppy to the airport closest to you.
This is a good alternative for those who want their puppy to fly in the airplane
cabin but do not have time to make the trip here and back themselves. We
take care of all the arrangements for you. Price varies according to the cost
of an airline ticket and what our courier charges.
